Owner & Solar Panel Expert

Malcolm Dunshee

Affordable housing and energy independence are my passions and skill set.

I was born and raised in Seattle, I moved to Northern California in the mid-1970s.

In 1978 I started working for an insulation company, installing both residential and
commercial.

By 1983, I had my own insulation and window company and was a PGE Zip contractor
(zero-interest loans for Weatherization, in 1988, PGE concluded that program).

Since then I have been building houses and rehabbing homes.

I became the only USDA-approved developer in northern Cal. At the time, after the
Valley Fire 2015.

I have started Lake County Solar Supply with my business partner Ty Hutchison. I got to
know Ty by being neighbors and admiring how he conducted himself with our other
neighbors.

We only offer the best value and quality solar components. Offer a good deal and
prompt service.

Ty Hutchison

I was born and raised in Manteca, California.

In 1976 my father started an electrical company. My father started teaching me the trade, and I have been a lifelong electrician ever since.

Just out of high school, I worked for a company that traveled the United States installing automated conveyor systems. In 1998 I joined the electrical union and worked in the Bay Area.

In 2008, I started doing Caltrans spec work.

In 2015, I took over the family business and started contracting Caltrans specification projects. I closed that business in 2022.

I am now pursuing my passion of alternative energy with my business partner, Malcolm Dunshee. Our goal is to offer the best value for quality solar equipment along with fast and reputable service.
